Organized by the <a href=\"http:\/\/usgbc-la.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Los Angeles Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council<\/a> (USGBC-LA)\u2014a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting a sustainable built environment through education, resources, recognition, and networking\u2014Greenbuild is the world\u2019s largest green building conference and expo. The 2016 event will be held from October 5\u20137 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, CA.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Britt\u2014a LEED-accredited professional\u2014has been involved with USGBC-LA for 7 years, and he has more than 30 years of experience leading the development of sustainability programs and projects for buildings in educational, healthcare, and local government sectors, as well as renewable energy projects for utilities and energy markets. Since joining Parsons in 2010, he has been instrumental in furthering the corporation\u2019s sustainability capacity and market development. Mr. Britt is the Chair of Parsons\u2019 Sustainability Working Group, and he plays a key role in the publication of the corporation\u2019s annual corporate social responsibility report. He was recently awarded the Construction Management Association of America\u2019s Special Award for Sustainability, recognizing his efforts to raise the level of awareness of the need for sustainability in the construction management industry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI look forward to co-chairing Greenbuild 2016 with Annie Argento of Argento\/Graham,\u201d said Britt. \u201cThe event is sure to provide attendees with invaluable information and networking opportunities and renew their commitment to the green movement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Held in a different city each year, Greenbuild attracts more than 30,000 global attendees and includes numerous education sessions, workshops and speakers, tours, art installations, and adjacent events.
