Long\u2019s decades of experience in mission operations and\nleadership across the Department of Defense (DoD) and intelligence community\n(IC) further enhances Parsons\u2019 ability to positively impact our customer\u2019s\nmission of protecting the United States and its allies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Long has served in senior leadership positions across NGA,\nthe Defense Intelligence Agency and the DoD for nearly 40 years. She led NGA\nfrom 2010-2014, reporting to the Secretary of the Defense, the Chairman of the\nJoint Chiefs and the Director of National Intelligence. Under her leadership, NGA\nbecame the first U.S. agency to adopt open-source software development and\ncollaboration that delivered critical information to first responders during\nand after natural disasters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe world will never fully comprehend Letitia\u2019s impact on\nupholding global security. We are fortunate to have her leadership on the\nParsons\u2019 Board of Directors and look forward to her contributions as we\ncontinue delivering differentiated, creative capabilities in support of the intelligence\ncommunity,\u201d said Parsons Chief Executive Officer Chuck Harrington.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Long\u2019s election continues Parsons commitment to a diverse\nboard of directors with valuable backgrounds that align the company\u2019s strategic\npriorities. She has been awarded the Department of Defense Medal for\nDistinguished Civilian Service, the Presidential Rank Award of Distinguished\nExecutive, the Navy Distinguished Civilian Service Award, the Presidential Rank\nAward of Meritorious Executive (two awards) and the National Intelligence\nDistinguished Service Medal (three awards). In 2011, she received the Charlie\nAllen Award for Distinguished Intelligence Service from the Armed Forces\nCommunications and Electronics Association, was decorated with the Medal of\nMerit by the King of Norway, was appointed to the rank of Chevalier in the\nNational Order of the Legion of Honor of France and awarded the Commander&#8217;s\nCross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She received a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical\nengineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute &amp; State University and\nlater achieved a Master of Science degree in
