In this role, he will plan, direct, and manage Parsons\u2019 transportation service offerings in the geographic area that stretches from Ontario\u2019s southern and western international border to the Greater Toronto Area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJohn brings to Parsons a wealth of experience in both the public and private sectors, which gives him a comprehensive understanding of the issues surrounding transportation planning and engineering,\u201d said Todd Wager, Parsons Group President. \u201cI\u2019m confident our current and potential customers will find his expertise invaluable to providing state-of-the-art solutions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr. McGill has 35 years of experience managing and directing large, multidisciplinary teams on major and complex transportation projects. His expertise includes transportation master planning studies, environmental assessments, traffic and corridor studies, and applied road safety engineering. He has worked on a variety of transportation projects throughout Ontario, including the Highway 7 Corridor traffic engineering and preliminary design study, the Highway 407 Express Toll Route traffic and toll revenue study, and the Halton Hills transportation master plan. He was the principal author of <em>Federal Highway Administration Road Safety Audit Guidelines<\/em> and several Ontario traffic manual books. He was also the principal investigator for the red light camera pilot study that included six Ontario municipalities and resulted in legislative change that permitted electronic enforcement on Ontario roads.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. McGill holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in civil engineering from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. One of Canada\u2019s first engineers to be certified as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer, he is currently on the board of directors for the Consulting Engineers of Ontario, and is a member of the Transportation Association of Canada Chief Engineers Council. In addition, Mr. McGill is active with the Canadian Institute of Transportation Engineers as well as the Ontario Traffic Conference. He is a past recipient of the H.
