Avygail Sanchez, Vice President of Business Development, was honored by Mujeres de la Tierra in Los Angeles, CA, as a community leader with demonstrated dedication to building healthier, sustainable communities through public engagement.<\/p>\n
Ms. Sanchez has spent her career developing community engagement and small business programs dedicated to economic development in the Los Angeles area. She has focused her policy and engagement efforts in partnership with agencies that include the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, as well as the City and County of Los Angeles.<\/p>\n
\u201cAvygail\u2019s efforts to better the Los Angeles community are a testament to her leadership skills, her professionalism, and her integrity,\u201d said Mike Johnson, Parsons Group President. \u201cWe are proud to have her as part of the Parsons team.\u201d<\/p>\n
Upon receiving the \u201cLa Jefa\u201d award at the Dia de las Madres event on May 5, 2018, Ms.\u00a0Sanchez commented, \u201cI\u2019m honored to receive this recognition for Mother\u2019s Day, as I treasure the opportunity to inspire my daughter to make the world a better place as she pursues her interests and talents.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mujeres de la Tierra is a Los Angeles stakeholder group that inspires and teaches women and their children to take ownership and leadership of their neighborhood issues and concerns. The organization helps women to identify holistic and practical approaches to solving local and environmental problems.
\nMs. Sanchez holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in psychology from Mount Saint Mary\u2019s University and a master\u2019s degree in urban planning from the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs. She is a Riordan Leadership Institute Fellow and a graduate of Leadership L.A.<\/p>\n
