In this role, Dr.\u00a0Hamza will be responsible for international growth and operational excellence in critical infrastructure protection and large-scale physical and cyber security project delivery, with focus in the Middle East Africa (MEA) region, as well as other high-growth regions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe need for cyber and physical security continues to increase, and Parsons provides full-spectrum security solutions to customers around the globe,\u201d said Carey Smith, Parsons Federal President. \u201cWe\u2019re pleased to welcome Rida to our team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are very excited to welcome Rida on board. His valuable, hands-on experience across all sales operational areas and execution strategies will help expand Parsons\u2019 ability to deliver information and critical infrastructure protection,\u201d said Gary Adams, Parsons MEA President.<\/p>\n<p>Dr.\u00a0Hamza joins Parsons from Thales, where he was the head of civil business. Prior to Thales role, Dr. Hamza was General Manager, Honeywell Security Group in MENA. He brings extensive experience in leadership and security, and he has been a key technical contributor for several integrated security solutions and leading industrial, government, and commercial contracts. Dr.\u00a0Hamza is the author and co-author of several engineering books and video and signal analytics papers, and he holds more than 48 U.S. and international patents in support of physical security, video analytics, and biometrics technology and innovations.<\/p>\n<p>Dr.\u00a0Hamza holds both a Management of Technology MBA and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Minnesota in the United States. He is an alumnus member of the Development of Technological Leadership Network at the University of Minnesota and an active member of the advisory board for the American University in the UAE on the Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering Graduate Program.<\/p>\n<p><em>Parsons is a digitally enabled solutions provider focused on the defense, security, and infrastructure markets.
