The company exercises option for $30.5 million<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n CENTREVILLE, Va., (March 31, 2020) \u2013 Parsons Corporation (NYSE:PSN)\nexercised two options for a combined value of $30.5 million on the Bucholz Army\nAirfield effort in the Kwajalein Atoll in the Republic of the Marshall Islands\nfor the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The firm fixed price project delivery\ncontract was awarded to Parsons in August 2019 and was a new, competitive win\nfor the company with a total value of $229 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Bucholz Army Airfield is in a remote, highly corrosive,\nhumid and salt-laden environment which presents unique challenges as Parsons\nreplaces various components of the airfield, including the major runways,\ntaxiways and parking aprons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cParsons is pleased to extend our partnership with the US\nArmy Corps of Engineers Honolulu District to rehabilitate Bucholz Army Airfield,\u201d\nsaid Christian Alexander, executive vice president of engineered systems for\nParsons. \u201cBucholz Airfield is a highly strategic national asset for the U.S.\nmilitary in the Pacific theatre, so our expertise delivering safe and effective\noperations that ensure no impact to operational requirements will be critical\non this project.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Bucholz Army Airfield Repair is a design-bid-build\nrenovation project with phasing to accommodate a fully active runway throughout\nthe entire duration of renovation.
