For many years, airports were required to use aqueous film-forming foam (AFFF), resulting in the release of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) contaminants into the environment. Parsons developed an innovative patent-pending method, Hot ISCO, which utilizes a slight temperature increase, a metals-based catalyst, and an oxidant to neutralize PFAS in soil and water.
